Our CROSSWAY 10-V comes with powerful and easy to service V-brakes, a broad gear range that gets you to your destination quickly as well as climbs steeper slopes with ease. A suspension fork and seat post provide extra comfort and riding safety.

The CROSSWAY family has been the MERIDA range's backbone since its introduction. They are used worldwide and are proven as a reliable, versatile and fun-packed way of getting around. Designed to provide a comfortable place to take in the surroundings thanks to an upright riding position and comfort focused equipment such as suspension fork and adjustable stems on selective models, they offer the perfect blend of comfort, enjoyment and all-round functionality. They are suitable for fitness training, commuting and leisurely rides through forests and on trails. Made from high-quality, lightweight aluminium with the ability to mount mudguards, racks and kickstands, the CROSSWAY range is the perfect choice for everyday riding. The fitted 700c wheels cover ground quickly, while the extra volume of the 40 mm wide tyres offers puncture protection, grip and comfort. All CROSSWAY models are available as a low step-through frame, making mounting and dismounting straightforward.

HFS - HYDRO FORMING SYSTEM

To get the most out of an aluminium tube in terms of shape or varying wall thickness, we apply various forms of manipulation. The most complex but also the most effective is hydroforming, where an aluminium tube is inserted into a negative mould, and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced through at pressure. The end result is a perfectly shaped aluminium tube that enables us to create beautifully crafted and lightweight aluminium frames.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE

Steering precision is vital to safe and confident handling, and the X-TAPER HEADTUBE allows us to significantly boost this precision. A larger headset diameter at the bottom paired with a smaller one at the top helps to deal with the strains modern riding and equipment can put on the headtube, all without adding unnecessary weight. It allows tapered forks to be fitted with ease and delivers precise and confidence-inspiring steering.

SMOOTH WELDING

On the majority of our frames, we run the gear and brake cables and hoses through the frame. The cables enter and exit the frame through smooth sockets, or we use one of our other systems like SMART ENTRY or WIRE PORT to be routed through. Running the cables inside the frame protects them from the elements, gives a clean and neat look and can offer aerodynamic advantages.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

DOWN TUBE EXIT

DOWN TUBE EXIT is a feature seen on some of our frames with internally routed cables. By slightly overlapping the downtube where it connects to the bottom bracket, it leaves a small space that allows cables to exit easily. This means they are easily accessible for routine maintenance or replacement, but it prevents excessive movement and noise that can cause wear and distraction.

SMART ENTRY

Many of our frames offer internal cable routing, where the gear and brake cables are run through the frame for maximum protection and a clean look. Some internally run cables can rattle when riding over uneven surfaces, but our SMART ENTRY system prevents this from happening. Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent noisy cable movement. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with any kind of cable or wire.

DI2 READY

Shimano's Di2 electronic shifting system offers fast, smooth and reliable shifting. In particular, in the road world, it has proven itself as the primary choice when top performance is at the top of the agenda. With that in mind, we have a broad selection of performance road frames that are Di2 READY and can accommodate the electrical cable, battery and other little tweaks that the system requires.

SUPERLITE 16 ALUMINIUM

Our latest grade of aluminium (6016) enables super thin wall thicknesses whilst delivering amazing strength, ideal for demanding off-road riding and racing.

FLOAT LINK REAR SUSPENSION

A suspension system where the lower shock mount moves as well as the upper link, giving a supple and sensitive feel over bumps. This system allows our engineers to precisely manipulate the leverage ratio, giving ultimate control of the progression of the suspension so that a FLOAT LINK rear suspension system feels like it offers more wheel travel than the numbers alone suggest.

ONE-FORTY FRAME

Lightweight 6016 series triple butted hydroformed aluminium tubes with smooth welding. Tapered head tube and Boost standard bolt through axles for precise handling. 'Smart Entry' cable routing for rattle free running.

FLOAT LINK SUSPENSION

The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver plushness and pedalling efficiency. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression, which means that a ‘Float Link’ system is very sensitive, delivering great support in mid-travel and the appearance of more travel that the model name suggests. The rear end creates the feeling of almost bottomless travel whilst remaining perfectly controlled when climbing.

MODERN TRAIL BIKE GEOMETRY

The geometry of the ONE-FORTY is influenced heavily by its bigger brother, the ONE-SIXTY, by mimicking the short chainstays (435 mm) for increased agility and playfulness on the trail. A well-balanced reach and low centre of gravity combined with a short stem and wide handlebar deliver fun packed yet confidence inspiring handling.

TRUNNION MOUNT

A trunnion mount shock gives our frame designers more flexibility by using a shorter shock with increased stroke. Combined with the ball bearing bushing of the upper mount, shock sensitivity is increased, and the suspension performance can be perfectly tuned.

1x SPECIFIC DRIVETRAIN

Modern trail bikes are all about simplicity, durability and efficiency and modern 1x drivetrains offer a huge gear range whilst remaining lightweight. Building our frame around a 1x specific setup allows us to keep chainstays short, adding to the agility and playfulness of the bike. Perfect for today’s demanding trails.

TYRE CLEARANCE

The ONE-FORTY has clearance for up to 2.6" wide 650B tyres, allowing plenty of extra room to fit the right tyre for the track. Extra wide tyres deliver increased levels of grip and comfort when the track gets rougher and more demanding, significantly improving the overall handling and riding experience.

SMART ENTRY

Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
